Question and Answers

No Cold Air W8TXNGFWQ00 Whirlpool Refrigerator

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

When there is no cooling at all there are a few things you can check yourself. First listen for the compressor running, if it is running there should be some heat on the condenser coils at the bottom back of the unit, you may need to remove the back cover to access the coils to check for heat, just touch the coils and you should feel heat.

While you are checking for heat observe the condenser fan, if the compressor is running the condenser fan should also be running to cool the condenser. The coil should be clean so that air can circulate through the coils and keep it cool. If the coil is not clean it should be cleaned free of dust and lint.

If the compressor is not running, it could be an issue with the start relay or overload. If the compressor is running, it could be an issue with the refrigerant charge in the compressor, a thermostat, or a sealed system issue with the compressor.
