The display board inside the dispenser is probably failing and causing the filter status light to blink.

You can let the light blink and see if it changes to amber and red to indicate a filter change is needed. The blinking status light should not interfere with the operation of the refrigerator.

To replace the display board, you have to replace the front cover of the dispenser. You can go to and see a parts diagram of the refrigerator. Go to the "dispenser front parts" page to see the dispenser parts. The display board is item 18, but to buy it you have to order item 23. The part number and price of the dispenser front is:

46 106 2318455W 1 $83.86 10656989602 FRONT COVER ASSEMBLY (INCLUDES ITEMS 18, 19, 20 & 21) (WHITE)

To remove the dispenser front disconnect the power to the refrigerator. Insert a flat blade screwdriver in the 2 slots on the bottom of the dispenser front and pry the bottom edge free. Pull the bottom edge out 1-2 inches and lift the dispenser front off the dispenser housing.

This is a fairly simple repair if you want to do it yourself.
