Replacing the drive belt on this tractor can be a little bit hard to do. You'll need to raise the front of the tractor and then lower the mower deck as far as it will go. Then remove the engine pulley. You'll need an impact wrench for this, if one is available. If you cannot remove the engine pulley then do not try to replace the belt as the belt keepers around that pulley will be damaged.

Once the engine pulley is removed then you can put the new belt around the transmission pulley and "walk" it around to where it gets between the pulley and the belt keepers on the transmission. Now pull the belt forward and place the belt around the 2 idler pulleys; you will most likely need to take these pulleys off in order to put the belt on them. Now put the belt around the crankshaft and slide the engine pulley back onto the shaft. Hold down the brake and slide the belt around the top pulley of the engine pulley and then push it all the way on and secure the bolt back into the crankshaft.

Thank you for using Manage My Life!

I put the belt on yesterday, and did it just the way you described, but only had to take the engine and one idler pulley off. Thank you for your response.

I'am talking about the short belt in the back of the mower not the long one that runs to the motor pulley.

Q:

Kenmore Elite Electric Built-in Oven (Model #790-49073400).

A:

Thanks for contacting manage my life about your range/oven model 790-49073400,sorry you are having a problem with it heating. Unfortunately there is not much that you can do, but here are a couple tips to try before calling the technician out. First be sure that the power supply to the oven is provided, go to your breakers and turn the oven circuit all the way off then back on, this will reset the breakers and also reset the control if it just had a simple misfire.  Be sure that all controls are properly set to bake and broil perceptively. If this does not help, then the oven will need to be inspected and tested by an experienced technician using high quality testing equipment and tools. Often the oven has to be removed from the wall. I hope this helps, if you need service here is a link to Sears Home Services. Ron H.

How do you post a new question? I'm having issues with my 79049073400 oven. It appeared that the control board shorted out (sparks, smoke, didn't work anymore). I replaced it and it now shows an F10 error code and beeps when I throw the breaker in. I checked the thermal sensor and it reads 1080 ohms which seems close enough to the 1100 I read was expected. Maybe the wiring harness next? But I wanted to get some input before diving into that. Thanks!
