Question and Answers

Q:

top/upper oven stays warm after the it's turned off PB975TM1WW

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be happy to help with your range. Upon researching model number PB975TM1WW; the board could be the issue if the element is staying warm hours after it has been turned off.  There is the electronic control board that controls the unit. It could be sending a small amount of power to the element.

Thank you for choosing Sears. We appreciate your business. Have a great day.

Q:

I have fuel in the crankcase 247.88957

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

I am sorry to hear of the fuel in the crankcase. I know how concerning that is to have happen.

This type of issue is almost always caused by a stuck float inside of the carburetor that is allowing a free flow of fuel into the carb, past the cylinder, and into the crankcase.

You will need to pull the carburetor from the engine and do a thorough cleaning on it. Pay close attention to where the needle moves in the seat and make sure it completely clean. You could also replace the carburetor. Just make sure to NOT run the engine until this issue is resolved because it can cause internal engine damage with the thinned oil/fuel mixture.

This engine is made by MTD. They have started making their own engines within the last few years. This snow thrower (247) is also made by MTD. We do not have an owner's manual for the engine available.

I hope this helps and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.

Hi,

Thank you for your question, and I would like to answer the question this way.
Ok, here is a picture of electric timer and the wiring. As you match the terminal what are the wires that do not match up and where to they go? Here at pictures of the timer and where the wires go to. I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance please include more details in a reply to this entry below.
Thank you for using Manage My Life.
