The oven not working can be very frustrating. To better help your expert, I would like to suggest adding the full model number of the range. It may take two business days for your expert to respond. I do hope that everything works out on the range.

Thank you for your question. I know it's frustrating when the oven stops working. The most likely problem will be with the electronic control. Sometimes resetting the control may correct this type of problem. To reset the control, disconnect the power for 30 seconds and then reconnect it. If it does not correct the problem, the control # 316557114 will probably need to be replaced. These controls are fairly expensive and you may want to have a technician check it first. If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and I will be glad to assist you further.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

That terminal block will not protect the clock control board and other components in the range. Since that terminal block melted, you cold have damaged that clock control board in the console and other components. There may be internal wires with insulation that it burned off or damaged. I recommend that you have a service technician examine the range if you want to continue to use it. Here is a link for the Sears Service website: Sears Home Services .

It may be more economical to just replace the range instead of having it serviced. You can view current range models on the Sears.com .
