Thanks for contacting  ManageMyLife. I understand how frustrating it is having trouble with your appliance.

Sounds like the contactor is not working ,on the outside unit.  Make sure the power is still getting to the unit to the contactor.  The fuses in the fuse box could have tripped.   If the fuses are good, and if the contactor has a insulated button mounted on it, use a screwdriver and hold only the insulated handle, use the screwdriver to press the button in.  If the compressor and fan comes on the problem is the wall thermostat or wiring.  If the compressor does not come on the issue is the contactor relay. 

If the contrator is faulty you will need a service technician out to service it.
