I'm not sure if this pertains to your machine or not, but it was a nasty surprise to me when I found out that my LG model number had two different versions and that you could only find that out by contacting LG directly and giving them your serial number. Until then, it made no sense why the main bearing I ordered was so much smaller than the original one.

Your situation is probably similar to the one that Susan describes in the above post. The control board has been revised on this washer. Depending on your serial number, you may need a different control board. It is likely that you need part 6871ER1078T. I recommend that you reply with the serial number of your board and we will research that part more thoroughly. It may also help to have the part number off of your original control board. See if you can find that part number if possible.

Sorry for the trouble with this part. Some parts are revised by the manufacturer and the correct part can only be ordered by referring to the serial number.

Thanks for providing that serial number. According to the parts information that I have, you will need control board part 6871ER1078T based on the date code in that serial number. I recommend that you return that original control board and order the 6871ER1078T control board. This should resolve your problem. If you need more help, reply with additional details.

I recommend that you reply with the full model number and serial number of your washer. We will check directly with the manufacturer to determine whether that is the correct PCB control board.

I checked directly with our parts expert from LG. There are 2 versions of that washer model WM2277HW. The version WM2277HW00 uses control part 6871ER1003C and the version WM2277HW01 uses that control part number 6871ER1078T that you have. I recommend that you check the model number on your washer for a version or revision number. It is likely that you will need the part 6871ER1003C since that 6871ER1078T does not appear to fit. I provided an image of the part 6871ER1003C below this response. That may help you determine whether it is the part that you need. If you need more assistance, reply with additional details.
