Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with this unit. To access the power outlet the console and side covers have to be removed. Once they are removed, you should be able to fish the new cable down the upright and reattach it. With the covers still off, I recommend checking the operation. If the unit lights up go ahead and reattach the side covers and console.

I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank you for using Manage my life.

@Mark Thanks. Somehow the piece got broken, so the problem was probably caused by us I don't think it was a defect. Is the part I noted the correct one? Just want to make sure I don't order the wrong thing. Thanks again. Jason

I believe the part you looked up is the correct part. I could not get the link you posted today because the site was down. The part number for the cable is 076821. I also talked to the tech line for Horizon and they recommend just splicing in the part that is broken. You can order the whole harness and cut the part off or see if you can find a new plug from Radio shack. Just bring the old part with you. Once you have the part, remove a few screws in the side panel so you can access the harness. Then fish out the two wires that are connected to the plug. Then connect the wires to the new plug and reassemble the unit. Please let me know if you need further assistance. Thank you for using Manage my life. Mark T.

@Mark. Thanks again. I'm assuming splicing will require some sort of soldering possibly? I'll take a look when I it taken apart and decide what I think is best. Planning to get my order in today.

Q:

What part does the power cord plug into on my elliptical?

A:

The console cable is the part that the power plugs into on the machine. The photo in the breakdown doesn't make that too terribly clear. The part number you need is Horizon Fitness number 076821.

I have the same broken part. However, I cannot figure out how to remove the large side cover disk so I can get inside the plastic casing and replace the broken 076821. I have removed every screw, nut and bolt that I can find. What am I missing to get the disc off?

Same broken part here. I found what appears to be the part on the linked page, but it looks like that part is up at the top of the machine. Does this run with a wire all the way down to the smashed part that connects to the power adapter? @Keith, did you ever get yours replaced? How much work was it to access & install? I'm attaching a pic of the broken piece to confirm I'm talking about the correct part. Thanks.

The crank (key AJ1, in the drawing at the link) has to come off in order for the disks to come off of this machine, if my memory serves me correct. There is a specific tool for this procedure that can be purchased from most bicycle shops and some specialty fitness shops. Without the crank removal tool, the only way to get the crank off destroys it.
