Question and Answers

Q:

the oven will not go into bake or broil mode. SVD48600W Jenn-air Gas/electric slide in range

Q:

How do install a Jenn Air oven control panel.

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Based on your description of the bluish greenish film, this is nothing more than a film used to protect the control panel during shipment and handling of the range and it was supposed to be peeled off and removed after the range was installed. If you were to get it peeled off, it would not be reusable.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

A:

The door look mechanism has probably failed. Accessing the door lock on your range is difficult. I recommend you go to www.searsservices.com and get a Sears technician to repair the range.
