Thanks for contacting ManageMyLife.com. I understand how frustrating it is having trouble with adjusting the picture of the TV. We are here to help. Based on the symptom, I suspect the TV was in the wrong mode for adjusting the tint. The owners manual states on page 26 that the tint cannot be adjusted, if the input signal is from HDMI, PC or any other Component mode. The signal source needs to be cable or air. Also, the tint cannot be adjusted while watching Digital TV. The factory default setting for the tint is in the middle. I hope this helps.

Please feel free to let me know if you need further assistance. We are always here to help.

Thank you for using ManageMyLife.com.

The board you are talking about is called an address buffer board. If this board was the issue it would only cause picture problem in the same physical location as the board. That board controls the screen from the top to the bottom in that area. I would start, first make sure the set is off and unplugged, by pulling all the connecters off and putting them back in. There is a verity of things in a plasma TV that could cause the picture to occasionally drop out. This makes it very difficult to trouble plasma TV's.
