Q:

Whirlpool Gas Oven - Burners work but oven won't heat SF315PEPQ2

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for using SearsPartsDirect.com.
Sorry to hear of the lack of heat coming from the igniter. I know how inconvenient it is not to have an operable oven.
The most likely failure is a burnt out or broken glow bar igniter. The glow bar igniter must be glow red hot and pull enough current to cause the oven safety valve to open. Slide the broiler drawer open and the igniter will be mounted on the left side of the burner near the back. Turn the oven on to see if the oven igniter is glowing at all. If it glows red, but not real brightly, the igniter is weak and needs to be replaced.
A technician would carefully check for the proper voltage to the igniter when the oven is set to come on if it does not glow red. If there is no voltage supply to the igniter could indicate a failed oven control board, gas safety valve or a loose wire connection in the igniter circuit.
Hope this helps and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.

Q:

orfices for gas stove. SF315PEPQ2 Whirlpool Free standing - gas

A:

Hello glad to help.  Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com

I am sorry and do understand your frustration when there is problem with the gas stove.

Glad to help out.   Im  looking at your Whirlpool Gas Stove model number SF315PEPQ2.

It is a good question.   It is a non illustrated item so that makes it difficult.  Usually the instructions come with the kits.   The orifice should fit under the burner head.   Lift off the burner head and the tube that is attached is where the orifice fits in.   Then put the burner head back over/on top of it.  The tubes are key number 2 and key number 4 on the picture below.   Just need to click on it to see please.

Hello glad to help.  Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com

I am sorry but need to make correction on my last chat with you.   I further looked at it and see that I was wrong on the location of the orifice adjustment.

On the picture of the gas valve which is key number 15.  The Orifices fit on the opposite end of where the knob hooks to.

Again I am sorry for the mistake but found it in time to help out I hope.  Good luck

The replacement oven door handle for this model is no longer available and the manufacturer has not authorized a substitute part. You may be able to find one online. It is part #98006164. Another option is to try small local appliance repair shops. They can often help. I am sorry we could not be more help. Thank you for using Manage My Life.
