Thank you for your question. I am sorry you are having a problem with the exercise bike. If the console continues to beep and cycle, I recommend checking the wire connections first. To do that you need to unplug the unit and remove the console. Then unplug the wires and plug them back in. Next separate the up right from the base to inspect the wires to be sure there are not ant pinched. If those are ok, I recommend accessing the tension motor. Once you have access to the tension motor check the connections in that area. Finally plug the unit back in and check the operation. If it still will not operate, I recommend having a service technician come out to diagnose the problem. The reason is a meter is required to make some electrical checks to confirm the problem. You can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Thank you for using Manage my life.

Take the console loose from the mount and check the harness to make sure it is plugged in securely. If so, you will need to remove the lower shrouds (around the flywheel) to access the sensor assembly. If you verify the sensor is not damaged or unplugged the problem may be with the resistance motor, but it's unlikely as we usually find the sensor as being the issue.

Let me know what you find on it. If you're not real sure about taking the machine apart I recommend you contact Sears Home Services to see about having a technician come out to see about it.
