Thank you for submitting your question. The only lights you're able to change out yourself will be the lights located underneath the microwave. The interior lights will require a technician to access and replace them. Microwaves contain high-voltage components that can retain a lethal electrical charge of up to 2200 VAC -- even when the microwave is unplugged. Repairs and adjustments, even minor ones such as changing interior lights or door removals, can cause microwave leakage. A microwave shielding leakage test should be performed after any microwave service. It is for these safety reasons that I'm unable to assist you in replacing the interior light or any other microwave repairs and instead recommend scheduling service with a qualified service technician. You can schedule for service online with our Sears Home Services team. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

If the cavity has any burn spots, or worn areas spot-sand it smooth and touch it up with microwave interior paint. This should correct the problem. If the arcing continues, I would recommend replacing the microwave.
