Q:

How do I replace the igniter? SC8640EDQ0 Whirlpool Gas ranges and ovens

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com. I definitely understand the frustration with having an ignition issue on your cook top. I will be more then happy to assist you. With this model SC8640ED0, You have to remove the grates as well as the knobs. Then you will be able to lift the top of the cook top to access the ignition module. The location of that would be in the front right hand corner. The IM could be held down with a screw or clip. I understand removing the grates but when you say knobs are you referring to the burner unit? If so how do you remove them?
