Question and Answers

Q:

saws800jq0 Whirlpool Washer does not empty water

A:

On something like this we need to know if the unit is running or not when it is not draining to give us a direction to head into. If the motor is running then the pump is running because this is a direct drive pump on this model. If the pump is turning with the motor & is not pumping out the water I suspect the pump is failing & needs replaced. If the motor is not coming on at all then you need to check the lid switch, timer, wiring harness & motor. You should hear the click of the lid switch if you listen closely while opening & closing the lid slowly. Please resubmit with a better description of what the washer does & does not do for further assistance. I have also included cabinet access instructions below & in the image. Remove the screws #49 located on the back side of each console end cap going downwards. Pull & lift upwards & the complete console will hinge back. Please see the images below for the rest of the instructions to remove the cabinet for inspection.

I have to revive this thread and have a similar problem and the same exact washer. Washing machine works as normal, but stops once it gets to the rinse cycle. The water does not drain and it doesn't spin. If I mess with the cycle/timer knob I can get it to advance to the rinse cycle and from then on everything procedes normally. Tried a new timer unit, but this did not resolve the issue. Thoughts? Many thanks, Jason.
