Try running a wash cycle with no clothes or detergent added. See if the washer will drain and spin properly in that situation. If it does not drain properly, then you could have a partial restriction in the drain system or a bad drain pump. Run the extra spin to remove the rest of the water from the washer. I provided a procedure for accessing that drain pump in the image below. You can unplug the washer and check the drain hose and the washer drain for a partial restriction. If you find not problems there, then you will probably need to remove that drain pump and check it for a clog or restriction. NOTE: That is an advanced repair procedure that is normally performed by a service technician. I recommend that you carefully examine the procedure that I provided below before you proceed with the removal of that drain pump. Failure to reassemble the motor and pump properly will result in damage to the washer. I recommend that you seriously consider scheduling a technician to perform this repair instead of attempting it yourself. You can schedule a service technician through this link: Sears Home Services .

If you are able to remove that drain pump yourself, you may find a restriction or damage to that pump. If it needs to be replaced, you can order a new one from the Sears PartsDirect website.

If you need more help, reply with additional details and we will assist you further.
