Q:

Black vertical bar TCP60S30 Panasonic Plasma tv

A:

Thank you for being Sears’ valued member and for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com with your question about your television. I am so sorry there is a vertical bar on the screen. I know the TV is a key part of our daily lives and know you want to get it fixed quickly. In this case, I recommend you have the TV repaired by a qualified technician.

We do not give diagnostic or repair advice on televisions because internal components in the TV can retain a dangerously high electrical charge, even when the TV is disconnected from the power supply. Here at SearsPartsDirect.com we love to help you with your home repairs but in this case, for your safety, we recommend you have the TV serviced. To set up service go to www.SearsHomeServices.com or call 1-800-469-4663 (1-800-4MY-HOME).

Thank you for your understanding in this matter. I hope we can help you with any future repairs. Thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business.

I know that it can be very frustrating to have issues with your vaccum cleaner wand. There can be a number of reasons that you do not have power to the power mate motor including:

  • Handle switch
  • Loose wire connection in the wand
  • Loose or bad wire connection in the hose
  • Tripped or failed reset switch on the Powermate
  • Failed motor
  • Loose wire connection in the Powermate.

First I would suggest pushing on the re-set button on the top of the power mate nozzle. If that does not solve the problem you will need to use a volt/ohm meter to check for continuity on the two prongs on the top of the wand where you plug the handle into the wand. There is a fuse built into that connection for power going to the power-mate. The images below will show you how to access the wiring for testing. I hope this helps. If you need further assistance, please reply to this thread. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Ditto, I don't see any images. Need to know how to take the wand apart. I used a tester and at the bottom end of the wand, there is no current. There is in the handle.
