I understand that you need to install the heating element on your dryer. I have taken some time to research your question here on the Manage My Life website and I noticed that someone else had asked a similar question with a posted response from an expert. I attached the link below if you are interested in viewing. I hope the link that I provided is helpful.

Thank You Alina, however, that information did not answer the question I have about the electrical connection that I can't pull apart. Plus that answer was for a Kenmore back entry and my Roper element is accessed thru the front. Please keep searching. Thanks

Hey Joyce,

Thank you for submitting a question to Manage My Life.

I know how frustrating it can be when appliances do not function properly.

The model number you gave me is for a gas dryer. I assume the model that you have is an REX5635EQ2 and not the RGX5635EQ2. If this is incorrect please let me know.

I assume you are talking about a Molex connector (where two sections of a wire harness connect with a plastic plug) in the wiring harness. There is no specific tool needed. There may be release tabs on the sides or a squeeze point on that connector. If you can send a picture I will try and be more specific.

Here is a link for a video that shows how to replace that element: Dryer Heating Element Replacement . This video may assist you with your repair.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post. Thanks again for using Manage My Life.
