Question and Answers

Q:

burner blow out RGB533WEH3WW Hotpoint Gas range

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Since the top was raised without first removing the screws from each of the burners, the gas supply tube connected between the burner valve and burner was likely cracked or broken. You will need to remove the screws from each one of the burners then lift and hinge the top up and inspect and replace the tubing assembly for the front left burner. Inspect the the other three too for being cracked or broken too while you have the top up. Use caution when removing the screws from each of the burners, they can be broken very easily. If the screw becomes hard to turn, turn it back in and out slowly until you feel it will un-thread without breaking. NOTE: Turn the gas supply off and disconnect the power cord from the power source before servicing.

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com. I definitely understand the frustration with with not having a properly working stove. I will be more then happy to assist you. Looking at the information on Hotpot Model RGB533WEH3WW, there is a lot of exposed working pieces underneath. If the top was lifted with out proper preceded, a tube could of got twisted or cracked. When you did lift this did you make sure you put the burners in the correct spot. Cause this explosion you say happens, sounds like the front left is a big burner, witch requires more gas to flow. If you put a smaller burner unit on the high flow spot then gas is being trapped under the top and then the explosion happens. When dealing with this kind of an issue I Highly recommend a tech to come out. Click Here to schedule a technician or call toll free 1-800-469-4663.
