Q:

dryer REX4634KQ1 Roper Dryer

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect. I will be more than happy to assist you with your Roper dryer.

From the information you have provided above, there will be a few parts to check when it comes to no heat for the unit. First and most common will be the thermal fuse for the element. This is located on the blower housing. Bad thermal fuse will cause no heat. next is a thermostat located in the same as the fuse. Lastly would be the actual; element itself. I would suggest checking these parts to resolve the issue you’re having.

I hope you found this information useful. Again thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business, have a great day.

Q:

Roper model REX4634KQ1 REX4634KQ1 Roper Dryer

A:

Hello glad to help.  Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com

I am sorry and do understand your frustration when there is problems with the dryer.

Glad to help out.   Im  looking at your Roper Dryer model number REX4634KQ1.

First and be careful.   Stick a hand in the dryer, grab a fin and try to turn the drum.   If the drum turns that is good, if it doesn't then means the rear shaft bearing froze and have to get a new tub.

Providing the tub is good there are 2 things first to look at to see why a dryer tub isn't turning.  Make sure the belt is frimly around the dryer tub and that it is in good shape.   Next thing to verify and you need to know how to use a meter, so that you can check the lid switch.   If the drum is good, the belt is good, the lid switch is good, then need to check the motor.   Check the motor by turning the motor shaft.   If the motor shaft turns then it is good.    Final possibility to check is the timer which controls every aspect of the dryer.
