I know that it can be very frustrating to have issues with your washer. The super capacity washer is only available in white and has a 3.2 cubic foot load capacity. The super capacity washer has eight automatic wash cycles and four washing and rinsing temperature settings in addition to delicate and permanent press cycles. I hope this helps. If you need further assistance, please reply to this thread. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

If you're certain the lid is fully shut and is tripping the lid switch, then I would have to suspect a timer issue. If the lid is not shutting fully and the lid switch is not closing and completing the circuit, the timer is not going to advance. The next time the timer quits advancing, push down on the lid on the right side area above the lid switch and wait to see if the timer will advance. If ii does, then the lid is not shutting enough to trip the lid switch.

The timer is part #3953146 if you believe the lid switch is closing. You can look up and order parts at Sears Parts Direct .

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

Q:

What would have failed to cause my washer to stop running after the agitation cycle has completed?

A:

The likely failure is a broken lid switch. When the lid switch fails the washer will not operate in any of the drain and spin cycles. The lid switch (key#11) is located and mounted up under the main top. In order to access and replace the lid switch will require removing the washer cabinet. In order to remove the cabinet will require putting the console into the service position. (See images below)

  1. Disconnect the washer power cord from the power source.
  2. Remove each screw (key#49) from the back side of the left and right hand console end caps (key#16&51).
  3. Slide the console forwards and then lift it up and hinge it over the rear panel.
  4. Disconnect the 3 wire lid switch harness plug from the connector located secured to the main top.
  5. Using a flat blade screwdriver pop the two gold colored cabinet retainer clips off (key#6). (See image below)
  6. Tilt the top of the washer cabinet towards the front and walk it out of the way.
  7. Remove the two screws (key#8) securing the lid switch to the top and the ground screw (key#28) and remove the lid switch.
  8. Reverse the procedure to install the lid switch and cabinet.
