Question and Answers

Q:

problem with sharp microwave

A:

Microwaves are the best appliance to have because you can make quick meals with it but once it starts to smell like burning it can be really concerning. While you are waiting on an expert to answer your question, a suggestion I have is to set service with a Sears technician. I have attached the link below. Hope this helps!

A:

Microwaves are inherently dangerous to service. Internal capacitors can retain a lethal electrical charge even when the microwave is unplugged. A microwave radiation leakage test must be performed on the unit following any repair. I recommend calling a service technician to repair this type of problem.

If you would like to schedule an appointment to have a technician go out to your home please visit www.SearsHomeServices for further assistance.

Q:

How do I replace the left door latch on my Sharp R-9H94 microwave?

A:

This is not a repair that you should attempt on your own. Any repair on the microwave door must be completed by a service technician. The microwave must be properly tested following the repair. A microwave radiation leakage test must be conducted on the unit using proper equipment after the door repair is completed. I recommend calling a service technician to repair the door latch on your microwave.
