Hi James, this bit of advice from the Weber FAQ solved my dilemma, and my grill is now working like new... "Weber Q 100 and 200 series with an adapter hose and the Q 300 series. The Weber Q100, Weber Baby Q, Weber Q200, and Weber Q cannot go into bypass when used as sold. When using an adapter hose with the Weber Q/Baby Q grills, the grill CAN go into bypass just like any other LP grill. Follow these steps to correct it: Close the LP tank valve Turn all burner control knobs to the OFF position Now, start the grill by doing the following: Open the grill lid Turn the tank valve until it is completely open Wait at least 1 minute. Due to the length of the hose (6'), it takes longer for the gas pressure to equalize. Turn the burner control knob to HI/Start Press the igniter to light the burner Turn any remaining burner control knobs to High The grill should preheat to 500-550 degrees in 10-15 minutes. NOTE: Cold weather can delay the time it takes to equalize the pressure. . . .http://help.weber.com/faqs.aspx

Thank you for your question on the low flame on the Weber grill.

It could be the regulator is locked in the low flow position.

I would suggest that you turn the fuel off at the LP tank and then remove the regulator from the LP tank and then open all the all the burners on the grill.

Wait about ten minutes and then close all the grill valves.

Then reconnect the regulator and hose to the LP tank.

Then very slowly just crack the valve on the tank about a 1/4 turn.

Then open the burner farthest from the LP tank first and light it.

If the flame is normal then the regulator is unlocked.

If the problem is still there then I would say that it is a good chance that the regulator needs to be changed.

Q:

baby weber q100 gas cook book ?were to find

A:

I see you are still looking for an US measurement version of the cook book for the Weber Baby Q grill. I actually did a lot of searching last night for a copy with no luck. I did locate a conversion sheet that looks easy to use with the Aussie book measurements. I attached below if you want to print out. I also attached the contact information for the folks at Weber if you would like to contact them directly. Hope this helps.

You can go HERE to get information regarding cookbooks from Weber grills. You may also check your local bookstore (or used bookstore) to see if they may have what you're looking for on hand.

There are tons of books on the market for grilling foods so if you're just looking for an "in general" grilling cook book I recommend you check our a local used book store for great deals.

Thank you for using Manage My Life!
