Question and Answers

Why is my GE Profile refrigerator not cooling correctly?

On something like this I recommend removing the freezer rear panel & inspecting the evaporator coil & freezer fan so we can see how our sealed system & air flow is working, if the compressor is running. If the compressor is not running we need to check the voltage with a meter coming from the control board going to the compressor.

Once you get the rear panel off if you see the evaporator completely iced/frosted up this is a sign of a defrost cycle failure. If the evaporator does not have a frost pattern this is a sign of a compressor or sealed system failure.

Be sure to check both fans. The freezer fan & condenser fan both have to be running whenever the compressor is running.

Please see the images provided for more detailed information & get back with us with your updated question if you need further assistance or if you have a meter & decide to perform voltage checks.
