Thanks for the question about your dispenser issue on model PSS26SGRCSS.
Based on your description of the dispenser sometimes working and working with touch pad to make it sometimes come on, the issue sounds like a connection problem at the control harness. My suggestion at this time would be to check the harness wires starting at door hinge at top of freezer door.always disconnect power supply before servicing appliance Look at this connection for damaged wires and corrosion, if this connector seems okay then you will need to proceed to the dispenser and check the same at the control. Sometimes just a good cleaning will solve the problem. I do not recommend replacing a part at this time and there are no common issues reported that relate to your symptoms. Should this not solve your problem I would suggest having a technician come to your home and test related components. I hope this helps solve the problem, should you need additional help reply with details.
