Question and Answers

Q:

ge model psb42lsrbbv dripping water psb42lsrbbv

A:

Thank you for your inquiry on your Ge Refrigerator, Model: PSB42LSRBBV. From reviewing the detail on your model, if water is leaking out in front and it's coming from the door, it's usually caused from a drainage problem. If the drain gets frozen, the defrost water will run on to the freezer floor and eventually leak out the front of the door. Another possibility is if the drain pan has a leak in it or if it overfills. You can check it, by first disconnecting the power from the unit. Pull the refrigerator away from the wall, far enough to remove the back cover. With the cover off, you will be able to see the drain pan and see if it’s empty or full. If it's empty pour some water in it, to see if you can find a leak. If the pan is leaking, it can either be replaced or use some epoxy to patch the leak.

Safety Warning: Before beginning the repair, disconnect the direct power supply to the refrigerator to prevent the risk of injury or any electrical shock.
