Question and Answers

Q:

E2 F2 code 66575002101 Kenmore Gas range

A:

Thank you for being Sears’ valued member and for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com with your question about your Kenmore range model 66575002101. I am so sorry you are having problems with it, even after replacing the oven sensor. Since you are overseas, I suspect the power supply is the issue.

The electronic control board in your range is designed for use with a 60 Hz electrical supply and will not work on 50 Hz (used in most overseas areas). In almost every instance, American appliances will not work overseas unless the power supply is the same as the U.S. power supply it was built for. The different frequency will affect the electronic control boards and the boards will not work or will fail very quickly. Timers will often work on 120 volt power and 50 Hz frequency but will run slower than normal.

We do not recommend converting the appliance to 240 volt power by using a power transformer adapter. We especially do not recommend that for appliances that use electronic control boards. The “dirty” power that the transformer provides will usually cause premature failure of the board. In this case, it may be better to purchase an appliance that is compatible with the local electrical supply.

I hope this answers your question. Thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business.

Q:

Clicking sound when powering on 50PA6500UAAUSLLHR Lg Television

A:

Thank you for being Sears’ valued member and for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com with your question about your television. I am so sorry there is no picture or sound. I know the TV is a key part of our daily lives and know you want to get it fixed quickly. In this case, I recommend you have the TV repaired by a qualified technician.

We do not give repair advice on televisions because internal components in the TV can retain a dangerously high electrical charge, even when the TV is disconnected from the power supply. Here at SearsPartsDirect.com we love to help you with your home repairs but in this case, for your safety, we recommend you have the TV serviced. To set up service go to www.SearsHomeServices.com or call 1-800-469-4663 (1-800-4MY-HOME).

Thank you for your understanding in this matter. I hope we can help you with any future repairs. Thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business.
