Q:

protron 37"lcd tv wont turn on

A:

Making sure you get the right television for you is important. A suggestion I have for you while you are waiting on your response from an expert is going onto the Sears.com website and searching through all the many televisions that they have to offer you. I have attached the link below for you to view. Hope this helps!

I have seen cases where these Proscan LCDs get bad capacitors in the power supply. It starts off as sometimes not coming on but you eventually do get it to work. Over time it just stops working altogether. The best advice I have is find a local shop that will try to find faulty caps or find a power supply.

The only local shop I could find was a Sears repair place, but they said they're only able (authorized) to handle <=32" TV's in house (any bigger they have to farm out to Sears HQ). Is there a way I can try to locate the faulty cap/power supply myself?

Q:

Why does my Protron PLTV-3750 screen go blue and says no signal after being on for a bit?

A:

I am unaware of the front led changing to red but I do remember seeing the input change on its own. I have had sets where the front control board has been changed and the main board as well but none of it has worked. From what I remember hearing it was a software issue on the board itself with no way up upgrading. The company itself is no longer operating so any part ordered would come from a third party. I personally would not attempt to have it repaired.
