Q:

Is the gasket that comes with the latch assembly (part12) the same as the tub gasket? PLDB998CC0 Frigidaire Dishwasher

A:

Thank you for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com with your question about the parts for your Frigidaire Dishwasher. The gasket that comes with the replacement latch assembly is the same as the tub gasket. If you only need the gasket, you can order it separately. The part number for that is 154561001.  I hope this answers your question. If you need further assistance, please resubmit your question with additional details. Thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

I added the removal instructions in the first image below. The trick is to remove the spray arm support. Turn the support 90 degrees clockwise and lift up.

When re-installing, the large white filter should fit under the soil director filter (key#64) and when the lower spray arm is locked down it will hold it down in place. The small filter (key#64) must drop down through the large filter and then turn the spray arm support 90 degrees counterclockwise (CCW) to lock it down. To remove the spray arm support, turn it 90 degrees clockwise.

I hope this helps.

S: Key # 64 should simply pull out of key #65 by pulling it down. Key #63 should separate as well as well by pulling it off. The parts are likely stuck together with residue etc. Make a note of the order as they come apart so that you can reverse the assembly order. I added an image of the part assembly which should provide the order of re-installation. If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician.
