Thanks very much for the quick reply. I reviewed the previous post you provided, but am afraid I am still uncertain how to wire it. I found the same wiring diagram inside the machine, but couldn't make sense of it. The expert advises "Connect both black wires to one of the door switches and connect both white wires to the other door switch." I can't figure out which switch is which. What I need to determine is (with the switch facing you as it is installed on the machine) do I attach the two black wires to the front two terminals and the two white wires to the back two terminals, or attach two black wires to the two terminals on the right side and two white wires to the two terminals on the left side of the part. Thanks in advance.

You should see 2 micro-switches on that door latch assembly. The black wires will be connected to the spades on one switch and the white wires will connected to the spades on the other switch. It does not matter the order that the wires are connected on the respective switches as long as you have the black wires connected to one switch and the white wires connected to the other switch. Be sure that you have the house circuit breaker for the dishwasher shut off when accessing internal components.

I hope that this information helps. If you need more assistance, let us know.

If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician replace that door switch, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services .

The cycle chart for this dishwasher is shown in the image below. I also provided technical information for this model. Your symptoms point to a bad control board. You indicated that you replaced the control board already. The part number for the main control board that controls the timing of the cycles is 154362809. If this is the board that you replaced, I recommend that you check the part number to make sure that it was replaced with the correct control board.

The information below shows the Water/Service Test. This is a short diagnostic test that you can use to check the components. If you are able to start this test using the information below, you can check to see if the dispenser will open using this test mode. If the dispenser will not open, then you could have a wiring harness problem between the control board and the dispenser.

These tips may help you resolve this dishwasher problem. If you need more help, reply with additional details.

NOTE: Be sure that you shut off the breaker to disconnect electrical power before accessing internal dishwasher components.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
