Q:

Model PLD2855RFC1 Will not wash. PLD2855RFC1

A:

Hello glad to help.  Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com

I am sorry and do understand your frustration when there is problems with the dishwasher.

Glad to help out.   Im  looking at your Frigidaire Dishwasher model number PLD2855RFC1.

The most common cause of this problem is a float that is out of position.  If the float is in position and you hear a click when it is lifted then the valve might be the problem.

If the motor makes no sound at all then the motor can be bad or the relay on the control is bad. You would need access to a volt/ohm meter and be comfortable using it to determine which is the problem.

A:

I can understand your concern with your dishwasher. No one likes to wash dishes by hand.

Reminder: Shut off the house circuit breaker for the dishwasher

From your description I would remove the bottom front panel and check the small box where the 120 volts is connected to the dishwasher its common to have a wire burn off at the connection. I also found an instance where the door spring got caught on one of the wires. Which would make perfect sence if you are losing power when you open and close the door. If the wires look fine, then I would agree it is a control panel issue.
