Thank you for your question. I know it can be disappointing when the water dispenser stops working. This can be a very difficult fridge to diagnose and service. If there is no power to the valve, a voltage check at the main board behind the unit, will need to be made. Only make this type of check if you are very confident in your repair skills and feel comfortable making a voltage check. First, disconnect power to the unit and remove the cover to the board. Now, locate the J7-3 terminal. It will have a yellow wire going to it. Carefully place a meter lead on this terminal and the J7-9 terminal, which will be an orange wire. Do not disconnect the wires. Reconnect the power and press the dispenser paddle. If there is 120 volts there, it means the dispenser is ok. If there is no voltage there, disconnect the power again. Now place a jumper between the TAB-4 terminal, which is a brown wire and the yellow wire on J7-3. Reconnect the power and if the water valve opens and water flows, it will indicate that the board # WR55X10956 ($165.00) has failed. If the water valve still won't open, it will indicate the valve # WR57X10032 ($ 51.00) has failed. I strongly recommend having a technician check and repair this refrigerator. I'm listing a site you can access, to have a tech come out. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services . I hope this will help you.
