Q:

Woke this morning freezer 45 and refrigerator 47 degrees PFSS5NJWASS Ge Bottom mount refrigerator

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com. I will be more than happy to assist you.  I can understand any frustration you may have experienced with regards to your unit. Let’s see what we can do for you.

There are a couple different things that could be the issue here. First off the control thermostat could be the main issue, replacing this could solve your issue. The last thing could be an issue in the sealed compressor system. With that I would highly recommend a technician coming out to look at the sealed system.

Hope this information has helped you. If you are not comfortable doing this repair you can click here to schedule a technician or call toll free 1-800-469-4663. Again, thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com.

Q:

How do i remove freezer compartment drawer/door (which is on a slider) PFSS5NJWASS Ge Bottom mount refrigerator

A:

Thank you for being Sears' valued member. And thank you for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com with your question about removing the freezer drawer from your GE refrigerator model PFSS5NJWASS.  I am so sorry there is a loud noise from the freezer section. I will be happy to help you with this.

Safety Warning: To prevent the risk of electrical shock, be sure to disconnect the power supply to the refrigerator before beginning a repair.  Internal components may have sharp edges that can cause serious cuts. Wear safety gloves if possible.

For food safety, I recommend keeping food on ice in coolers while completing your repair. I have included the link below for you to view the owner’s manual online in case you don’t have a copy.

Owner’s Manual for GE Refrigerator PFSS5NJWASS

The manual has step-by-step instructions on removing the freezer basket and drawer front on page 25. The instructions for replacing the drawer are on page 26. Once you have the drawer out of the way you will be able to see the evaporator cover on the back wall of the freezer section. You will need to remove that cover to access the evaporator fan, coils, and defrost heater parts.

I hope this answers your questions. If you need further assistance, please resubmit your question with additional details. Thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business.

Let me get this right, pull out at the bottom of the board? Does this make the top part of the dispenser release?

A:

Yes pull out at the bottom of the board right above when you would place a glass. There are clips there that will release and when pulled out the top on the display will unclip. to expose the board behind the panel.

I was hoping you could send me the same instruction on how to remove the water dispenser. My dispenser is broken, when the paddle was pushed some plastic parts and spring broke. The paddle just hangs there now with no tension. How do you move the clips through the holes on the bottom.
