Question and Answers

Q:

how do i return a part PDW7880J01SS Ge Dishwasher

A:

Thank you for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com with your question about returning the soap dispenser for the GE Dishwasher. I will be happy to outline the procedure for you. Because we will need your personal information (name, phone number, address) to access the order being returned, your best option is to talk with a PartsDirect Customer Care Advisor. You can reach and advisor at 1-888-205-0966.

Our Customer Care advisor will need to review the order before beginning the return process. You will be given a return authorization number that must be included with the part in order for you to receive credit for the return. Our advisor will also provide you with the address where you will need to send the parts. We do not ask for that information on this site because this is a public forum and we want to protect your privacy.

I hope this answers your question. If you need additional information please resubmit your question with more details. Thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business.

Q:

Ge dishwasher displaying 2HR and does nothing.

A:

Dishwashers have very many features that can make life a lot easier. I found your owners manual in the Manage My Life website and at the bottom of page 5, it gives you a description of what "delay hours" mean and how they work. I'm attaching the owner's manual below so you can take a look, I hope this gives you some answers.

A:

The 2 hour message in the display indicates a 2 hour delay start to the cycle.

You can delay a cycle from 1 to 9 hours.

First you would press the keypad to select the number of delay hours you wish then you must press the "Start/Reset keypad to put the unit into delay start.

If you can select a delay time and you hit the Start/Reset keypad but it doesn't start then there is a failure in the control.

If you press Start/Reset a 2nd time then it will cancel the Delay cycle.

If no button seems to work then check if the "control lock" is turned on. You can press the heated dry button and hold it to see if the control lock is turned on.

I hope this is enough to get you started resolving this problem but please submit a question with a few more details for further assistance.
