First check the heated dry keypad. It should have a small padlock pictured. This keypad controls the control lock or child lock feature. Press and hold the heated dry keypad to toggle this feature on or off.

The wiring diagram below has the fill circuit highlighted. One thing to check is the "flood switch." If the float is out of position then the dishwasher will not fill. The float may be out of position or the flood switch may be bad. The relay is part of the control board. Does the drain and circulation pump work? I hope this helps. You can reply with any additional details for further do-it-yourself information.

Yes the drain is working fine. The problem is there is no power coming to solenoid. I believe it should be 120. Does not flood switch comes into play after that. I mean Solenoid still should have power even if float switch s bad? I opened the front door and looked at sequence switch but I am not sure how to test it.

As of now this is what it looks like: 1) checked power to solenoid :Results O V 2) check continuity of water inlet valve. Results :Resistance of more than 900 ohms. 3) if I user pitcher and put lot of water in dishwasher it starts washing utensils and drains out. I think it uses water that I put into and circulate it. As soon as it goes to rinsing cycle there is no water again.Utensils are not clean either.

I got it. So, do I have to replace module control or can I open module control and try to fix flood switch. I think I may have bad flood switch and that is why there is no power going to solenoid.

A:

if you have a small piece of insulated wire the flood switch can be bypassed to check if it is the problem. Let me know if you need more information on this. If you try it remember to turn the power off first.

Thanks. I already have taken out Control module. I can see the pump, wall circuit in parallel but they are covered by a black box. I wonder if I need to pull that black box out to see the circuit you mentioned in your diagram. I have ordered new control ASM. I got it for 40 buckd from ebay. Hopefully that will fix it I will keep you guys updated.

A:

You did not indicate whether the drain pump is running in the drain mode. If the sink drain is clear and the drain pump is running when the dishwasher won't drain then your failure is in the drain pump.

If the drain pump is not running, you could have a failed drain pump, a wiring failure or a failed control board.

If the pump is apparently bad, you can order a replacement pump from the Sears PartsDirect website. Be sure that you shut off the breaker to disconnect electrical power before accessing internal dishwasher components.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
