Question and Answers

Q:

Why won't the condenser fan motor run?

A:

You will need to check for 12vdc from pink to white. When making this check, all wires must be connected. Do not disconnect any wires or connectors. First make this check at the main board, at the J2 connector. If there is no voltage from pink to white, the board # WR55X10942 will have to be replaced. If there is voltage at the board on these 2 wires, you will need to check voltage at the motor, from pink to white and again, do not disconnect any of the wires. If there is 12vdc at the motor, it will need to be replaced again but if there is no voltage there, it will indicate a broken wire, between the board and the motor. If you need more assistance, you can resubmit your question with more details.
