Q:

water will not drain or pump out PDB3600AWX Maytag Dishwasher

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com. I am sorry to hear that your washer will not drain or pump water out. I know how upsetting that can be. Since you have cleaned the pump already, I recommend checking the drain hose. Does it have any holse or kinks in it? Is the hose placed higher than 7 feet? If so replace the drain hose or move the hose. If no, I recommend replacing the drain pump. That part number is 6-917112. YOu can give us a call at 1800-366-7278 or click here to get that pump ordered. I hope this helps! Have a great day.

Q:

Why is the detergent dispenser not working on my Maytag dishwasher?

A:

It sounds like you just tested the wax motor with a 110volt test cord & did not install the wax motor onto the dispenser. When you test a wax motor you need to be sure you give it time to respond. This usually takes 20-30 seconds. I would recommend installing the wax motor & then check operation of the dispenser. If the wax motor is getting 120v the problem is going to be one of the mechanical linkage components.
