Q:

Poulan Pro PB195H42LT. Clutch Spring Attachment Points Poulan Pro PB195H42LT

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I can certainly assist you in locating the instructions to install the return spring on your mower. I did look into the model number you  have provided and I have found information to assist you.

Connect the short end of the spring to the hole in the bracket that is welded to the foot pedal arm (brake/clutch pedal). You can tell which hole the spring was in by the worn area around the the hole.

Place the spring so the other end is pointing toward the front of the tractor and find a hole in the frame or a bracket on the frame just beyond the end of the spring with a worn area around the hole. The worn area is from the previous spring being connected to the hole.

You can also visit searpartsdirect.com for parts, diagrams, and repair information.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Thank you for your question. Have a great day.

Q:

poulan pro riding mower pb195h42lt

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The loss of drive could be caused by many things:

  1. Freewheel control in "disengaged" position.
  2. Motion drive belt worn, damaged, or broken.
  3. Air trapped in transmission during shipment or servicing.
  4. Axle key missing.
  5. Transaxle component failure.
Here is the link to the Operators Manual.
If the both axle keys are in place and the motion belt is ok, then I suggest calling a service technician.

I strongly recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your tractor.
