Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

 

 If the safety lid switch is broken or faulty, the washer will not operate other than to fill with water. You will need to place the control panel back to the service position like you did to replace the timer. The lid switch is located on the left side. When the lid is closed, the left lid hinge must strike and close the lid switch in order for it to agitage and to drain and spin. If  the lid switch is faulty, the lid switch is part#8318084.

A:

If the washer will fill but not agitate, spin or drain then the usual suspect is the lid switch.  On this particular washer if the lid switch is bad the motor will not run at all in any cycle.  A broken motor coupler might prevent the washer from agitating or spinning but it would still fill and drain.  A new 8318084 lid switch can be obtained from the following link: Lid Switch  .  I hope this helps.  You can reply with any additional details for further assistance.
