Question and Answers

Q:

I have a Microwave oven of Panasonic NN-6460.

A:

I am sorry you are experiencing difficulties with your Microwave. Microwaves contain high voltage internal components that can retain a lethal electrical charge even when the microwave is completely unplugged. Door repairs and adjustments, even minor ones, can cause microwave leakage and a microwave shielding leakage test must be performed using a survey meter after any microwave service. I strongly suggest that you have this repair handled only by a qualified service technician. I have provided a link To Sears Home Services if you decide to schedule service. Have a great day!

Thank you for submitting your question. Alina has provided you with the correct information regarding microwave repair. Microwaves are a safety hazard and we do not recommend them as do it yourself repairs. Even for something as simple as changing the door panel. Microwaves pack a lot of power and a shielding leakage test must be performed after every repair. It's for these reasons that Manage My Life is unable to assist customers in microwave repairs or troubleshooting. I recommend scheduling for service. I apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Thanks for the information. After the microwave repair, the metal cover would be installed, sealed and covered the unit. How can the microwave waves spread out? I have checked the three black switches with the meter. It indicates that these 3 switches may be the problem. I just want verify them before I am able to purchase parts. Can provide these 3 parts model numbers? Thanks.
