Q:

Align Door on Amana Washer NFW7200TW NFW7200TW10 Amana Residential washer

A:

I know that it can be very frustrating to have issues with your washer. From what you are describing it sounds like the door hinge is the problem. There is no adjustment for this. Check to see if the door hinge is warped or bent. It if is then you will need to replace it. If not, then the door frame is the issue and needs to be replaced. If you don't feel comfortable doing this yourself, please click on this link to schedule service: Sears Home Services. Click on "Get Started" and follow the directions, click on the red "NEXT" button to continue. I hope this helps. Please feel free to let me know if you need further assistance. The drain pump sounds like it will need to be replaced but there is a pressure switch which should shut the water valve off before the tub overflows.  The pressure switch is located behind the front console.  There is also a pressue hose that may be kinked or have a small pin hole causing this problem.  Removing the top panel and rear panel may help you check the pressure hose.  Drain Pump can be obtained from the following link.  I hope this helps.  Remember to unplug the washer before removing the top and rear panel to check the pressure hose.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Without having the model number copied from the model and serial number tag I can only assume this a Front Loading washer because top loading Amana washers do not have an electric drain pump. The drain pump is driven directly by the motor shaft. The drive motor must run in the drain and spin and drain direction in order to pump the water out.

If this is a front loading washer, the drain pump will require a 120 volts in order to operate. The voltage supply to the drain pump is controlled by the main control board (PCB). The "nd" will display if the water level fails to drop below the low water level reset with 15 minutes, before spin. I added an image below of the wiring diagram of a Front loading Amana washer model NFW7200TW10.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.
