Question and Answers

The resistance on my elliptical no longer functions? NEL07940

The resistance does not change NEL07940 Nordictrack Nordictrack cx925

Thank You for choosing Sears and being a valued member. It is unfortunate to hear that you are having issues with your elliptical machine and I do understand your frustration. Glad to help out. I'm looking at your model number nel07940 and first replace the batteries before doing any testing. If the batteries are weak, the display will work, but the tension motor won't. These types of problems are usually caused by the wiring harness between the console and the tension motor. The bike has a resistance motor that moves a magnet close to the flywheel to increase the resistance. If you didn't have the problem before you replaced the console, look closely at the plug with the small wires in it on the console. Sometimes the terminals inside the plugs will back out and lose connection. If you don't have a problem at the plug, you need to check the voltage out of the console. If you have further questions please resubmit your question for further information.
Thank you for choosing Sears
