I'm sorry you are having this problem with the dispenser. Removing the tray in the bottom of the dispenser should not affect the board at all. This would be very unusual. This board is not showing to have a fuse. If it blew, the board # 67003817 would need to be replaced. If you would like more assistance, any additional details will be helpful and I will be glad to assist you further.

I'm sorry you are having this problem. The most common reason why the air flow to the fridge section stops is, due to a defrost problem. Check the back wall in the freezer for a heavy frost build up. If there is frost building, as it gets thicker, the air flow to the fridge will be reduced until there is no air at all. This can be caused by the following:

  1. Defrost control board
  2. Heating element
  3. Bi-metal thermostat
If the evaporator fan motor fails, it will also cause this same situation.

If there is no frost build up, the most likely problem will be with the control damper. It could be stuck in the closed position.

If there is a frost build up and if the evaporator fan is still running, I suggest turning the unit off for a few hours to allow it time to defrost. There will be as much frost behind the panel as you see in front. When it's all clear, turn the unit back on and it will cool ok again until the frost builds back up. This will take a few days, which will allow time, to have a technician come out to check it. I hope this helps you. If you would like more assistance, any additional details will be helpful and I will be glad to assist you further. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Q:

Maytag refrigerator model# mzd2665hew. after replacing water filter i have low water pressure. took filter out and capped it and works fine. any ideas why?

A:

Since the water system works with the bypass filter cap in place, the problem must be in the water filter head or in the filters themselves. Try cleaning the inside of the filter head. If there is apparently no debris or obstruction in the filter head, then the problem must be in the filters. You can try installing a different new filter to see if it will work properly.

If these tips don't help, you may need to have the refrigerator examined by a technician. Here is the link for the Sears Service website in case you need it: Sears Home Services .
