From the information you have provided above, it seems to me like there is an issue with the lid latch assembly. I would suggest checking t6he latch make sure all wires are connected properly. you can unplug washer for five minutes and see if the code clears if not you will need to replace the ;latch assembly part number W10404050.

After I hit the start button, the lock light and sensor light goes on and you can hear the machine sensing the load size / weight. Then the lock light goes off. In a few seconds, the lock light comes back on, the sensor light is still on and the machine continues to try and sense the load size. However, the cycle never goes any further. I tried to reset the machine by turning the machine off, and beginning with the dial straight up I turn the dial one click to the left, three clicks to the right and then one click to the left, in hopes of resetting the machine. At the end of the "click" cycle all the lights should go on. But, nothing happens.
