Question and Answers

shifter fault MVWC200XW2 Maytag Washer

Thank You for choosing Sears and being a valued member. It is unfortunate to hear that you are having issues with your washer and I do understand your frustration. Glad to help out. I'm looking at your model number mvwc200xw2 and usually if the shifter is failing, your clothes will be soaking wet after the spin cycle. The shift actuator shifts the motor to higher speeds to ring the clothes of the water. If you are not having with the washer you might have a loose wire harness connecting the shift actuator item 16 in the diagram. Here is a link that may help further troubleshoot the issues may be having. I have included a link to our Parts Direct page where you can purchase the part you need to complete your repair. Just click the blue link above to be taken to the page. I trust this information will help you.

Thank you for choosing Sears
