Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The console is secured to the top with spring clips located under each end cap. I added a YouTube video showing the many different types of consoles and how to place them in the service position. The video is actually showing how to remove the cabinet and replace the motor in case you need to know in the future. There will be a time that you will need to remove the motor and replace the motor coupler. Click here to view the video. The video will show releasing your type of console at the 58 second mark. NOTE: Be sure and remember to disconnect the power cord from the power supply before placing the console in the service position.
