Q:

Maytag washing machine Model MTW5620TQ2 not spinning when clothes are insdie MTW5620TQ2

A:

I know that it can be very frustrating to have issues with your washer. Based on your symptom and details I would suspect a worn clutch. Removing and replacing the clutch assembly will most likely resolve the problem. I added a YouTube video showing the complete procedure for removing and replacing the clutch assembly if you feel confident in replacing the clutch assembly yourself. The video is for a Whirlpool washer, but this is who manufactures your machine, so the process is the same. If you don't feel comfortable doing this yourself, please click on the link to schedule service: Sears Home Services. Click on "Get Started" and follow the directions, click on the red "NEXT" button to continue. I hope this helps. Please feel free to let me know if you need further assistance. We are always here to help. Thank you for using ManageMyLife.com.

I know that it can be difficult to need an appliance that needs repairs. There are a few components that can cause the waster to stop filling. The first is that the valve may be clogged, which will not allow the water to come through. To fix this, you will need to turn the water off, and disconnect the hoses from the washer. Once these are off, check the inlet valve screens. These can become clogged and will stop the water from coming in. Use a Q-Tip with bleach to clean out any residue. If this is clean, then you will need to test the inlet valve. For this you will need an Ohm/Volt meter. If you need any further assistance, please reply to this thread. Thank you for using Manage My Life.
