Question and Answers

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

I looked up the part numbers of the freezer and fresh food door gaskets and I see the part numbers have changed over to a substitute gasket. Eventhough the door gasket is a substitute, it still should fit in the groove. We have not heard of any of these subsitutes gaskets not fitting. Make certain you're pushing the gasket in all the way into the channel so it can stay in position. If the gasket fits too loose in the channel, use some clear RTV silicone adhesive to secure the gasket to the door. Apply a small bead of silicone all around the door inside the channel (goove) and then install the gasket and then shut and tape the door shut and allow the silicone to cure before opening the door. NOTE: If you soak the door gasket in hot water, it will help relax and remove any wrinkles that may have set in while it was in the box. I hope this helpful.
