Question and Answers

chain saw looses power

Check the fuel lines to make sure they are not kinked or cracked. If the fuel lines (and filter, in tank) look good then there may be some trash in the carburetor or possibly the diaphragm in the carburetor is getting a little bit stiff. Since the saw runs, if you think the problem may be in the carburetor, take it apart and clean everything. Carefully remove the diaphragm and soak it in some WD-40 for about an hour and then put it back. Once everything is back together, check it to see how it runs. If the problem still remains then the diaphragm may just need to replaced or there could be something else going on.
