Q:

Outer tub has water but will not drain MLG2000AWW Maytag Maytag laundry

Q:

MLG20000AWW Stackable: how do i change the door boot? MLG2000AWW Maytag Maytag laundry

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com and for contacting us with your question about your Maytag Laundry Center model MLG2000AWW. I am so sorry the door boot is covered in mold.  I will be happy to help you with the step-by-step instructions on replacing the boot.

I have included a couple of images at the bottom of this post. The first is the boot removal instructions. To access the boot you must first remove the front shroud assembly. The second image is the instructions to do that.

SAFETY WARNING: Disconnect the power supply before beginning your project to prevent the risk of electrical shock which can result in property damage, serious personal injury or even death. Internal parts may have sharp edges. Use caution and wear work gloves to prevent serious cuts. If you are not comfortable completing this repair, you can set up service at www.SearsHomeServices.com or by calling 1-800-469-4663 (1-800-4MY-HOME).

Once you have the mold removed, I recommend a couple of steps to keep the machine clean and mold free. After completing the laundry, leave the washer door open until the tub and door gasket have completely dried. That will prevent the dark, moist surroundings that mold needs to grow. I also recommend you clean the washer monthly with a washing machine cleaner. I have included the link for one for you.

I hope this answers your question. Thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business.

Q:

water leaking from bottom of front door on maytag neptune washer dryer combo. Changed bellow but still leaks. could tub be out of place or fallen somehow/ mlg2000aww

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be happy to help with your laundry center. Upon researching model mlg2000aww; check the bellow to make sure it’s fully seated. Check if it’s leaking during a specific cycle or during all the cycles. It could be the shock absorbers are worn out and letting the tub move too much.

Thank you for choosing Sears. We appreciate your business. Have a great day.
